We’ll conclude the season with a special evening of of great film scores. Featuring films from the 1930s through today, you’ll hear a mix of dramatic scores, Westerns, Science Fiction, and more. But there is a twist: we will not announce the titles beforehand. In fact, you won’t know what we’re playing until we play it. And even then, we’re not going to make it easy for you!
This is a one-of-a-kind “name that tune” game whereby the orchestra will begin playing a section of the film score and then pause. Will you guess correctly? Some of these snippets will be easy to identify, some not so easy. (The FSO musicians are being sworn to secrecy.) Then we’ll play the entire score. This game, however, is not just for the adults. We’ll be sure to include some film music for the kids too. At the end, we’ll have a winner from the crowd of children who will get to come to the podium and lead the FSO in our finale! Bridging Great Music with a Great Community? Indeed!
